As a professional Doula in the Tampa Bay area, I offer personalized prenatal, birthing, and postnatal care. "It would be very difficult to imagine having gone through my pregnancy and my birth without the support of Kerri. I found out I was pregnant fairly early one. I knew I wanted a natural birth, but had very little idea of what that would actually mean for me, for my partner and for our child. Kerri helped us navigate through the maze of questions and decisions. Without her, I would have been blind sided and maybe even strong armed by what I did not know.
Kerri helped me find information and realize my choice is always present, She helped me plan, as best as we could, for the birth I knew I wanted. The first time we met, she made a point of including myself and my partner so we were all on the same page. I was really grateful for that because they established their own relationship where he felt comfortable asking questions and working alongside Kerri. She even met with my midwife during one of my appointments, at my request.
The day I went into labor, it became clear just how important our meetings were in laying a foundation for trust and support through what was a long and challenging birthing experience. Kerri was my backbone through the night and into the next day. When I was weak she fed me, when I was afraid she calmed me.
Most importantly, when I wavered or questioned myself, she was there to remind me of my plan, my strength, and my baby. When all was said and done, she helped to bring me through the most challenging experience of my life and she did it with a peaceful and powerful strength. Needless to say, my doula rocks.
